no i dont think so these are different however i have had 1-2mm snails stuck to my glass recently :(

They are young calcereous tube sponges, clathrina or scypha species normally. They are a good sign that the tank is maturing and stabilising...if you press them they simply crumble...a little filter feeder taking fine particles from the water column

I have one of these stuck to the front of my new nano tank. I'll have to evict it before it takes hold lol. I thought it was an air bubble at first. Then a snail. Then when it hadn't moved I got the magnifying glass out and saw the little tenticles.

I have these everywhere, all around the sump, back glass, in the weir. Have had for a while now. Just get scraped off the back glass when that is cleaned, I leave the rest alone.

Ak these guys are rigid with spikes at the end, like little glass threads...if tentacles are moving you may have a hydroid or young aiptasia ther mate...either way remove it!!! If solid tube, white and spikey end it is safe....

thank god mine are white and spikey i poked one like i said i could they just came off and fell into the abyis  lol so its a good sign, my tanks stablising? if so hip hip horay! only took 5months!
