Hi all

I have a plant not sure of its name that frequently tries to flower but typically i chop it off as soon as i spot it. Can i let it flower? I know if its a bulb not to let it flower because then it will shut down but this isnt a bulb so im not sure if its ok to flower or not. I have enclosed a picture:

What do you mean by you shouldnt let bulbs flower?

When i bought a bulb from my lfs the guy told me if i saw a flower coming to chop it off as soon as possible, he told me that if i allowed it to flower it would die back sometimes die completely so if i wanted to keep the plant going as just greenery remove all flowers otherwise he said "you'll be wasting your money".

that is a lie, i cant see a reason why it would die back, next time you go in ask him why :D

Aponegtons are one of the most common and easiest plants to get flowering, i have never heard anyone complaining about it dieing back after.
