Its like a power head that hangs on the side of the tank and the water filters back through it into the tank, trapping the rubbish, im after something like this as I cant stand using buckets to clean, I have a python that i use for water changes but ideally id clean the fish waste daily if it was as easy as this looks.

Anyway its just like a power vac which in the past have been poor just wondering if anyone has had any good experience with these sort of things.

My tank is 6ft and my cichlids are seriously dirty sods, so anything to make cleaning easier!

Never tried anything like that myself good idea however  one has to say changing the water is a good idea even if it has a really good filter. :good:

I agree but that would be handy for daily pop scooping!!! Give the gravel/sand a good clean daily or every other day easily and quick.

and by keeping organics down (if cleaning poo everyday) then you would have to do actual water changes much less often.

i don't mind doing water changes, but as I made a python I just leave that going for about 30mins every week, then do the usual clean-up of the sand with a syphon, would be great to just flick a switch and get any rubbish out thought without all the buckets and hassle.

Might have to have a nosey around see if i can find someone whose used one, years ago I had a gravel vac but that was rubbish, other thought I had was a eheim hobby pump and send the output through the window into my water butt, I no it would nick a bit of water to but thats fine its just doing away with the buckets i want, just don't get enough power through he python

anyway thanks for replies!!
