Thanks TigerIssey I will keep my beady eye open on UR as these seem to be available quite frequently second hand.

Actually, I could sell you mine. I had kept it just incase I set up a sea horse tank, but as I will be incorporating that into my 6 footer, I am thinking I probably don't need it. It was used for a maximum of 2 months. I still have the instructions and the original box.

Does £25 + postage sound ok, if so pm me. Now I cannot take payment right at the moment, a third party tried to access my paypal account and it is now restricted, am awaiting revalidation, once this is done, which should be in the next 2 weeks, I could take payment and post out to you.

cool sounds good I can wait till PP is sorted as sump is not ordered yet

Picked up the tank today very happy with it roughly 90 litres. Need to order some plumbing trying to work how to modifiy Durso pipes into a tighter space by using a 45 and 2 90 degree bends a bit like a shepherds hook if that makes sense.

I need to get some glass to make a weir can anyone recommend a good material for weir combs?

Working on a refe/sump design in limited space (16" x 16" x 12)"I think I have it sorted tank split 50% down the centre long line, use one side for the refegium with a 4" DSB some Chaeto and some LR and dose it up with copepods and rotifers. with a overflow into the return pump this will be about 10" deep.

Then split the other side in 2 with baffles half for return pump and heater than the other half for the skimmer

I will split the wier in 2 so I get about 10% - 20% of the water into the refe then the rest into the skimmer compartment.

Looking at a Maxijet 1200 as a return pump (unless there are better pumps for the job) will have a T piece on the return pump going to the skimmer compartment with a ball valve to control flow if too much flow I will send more water back to the skimmer instead of a ball valve on main return.

I have been playing around with a modified Durso pipe design to reduce the size of the weir needed in my 18" cube here is what I have come up with still need to drill elbow for air valve does anyone know if this will work or not please?
