I just don't have any good shots of my boy. None of the photos I have really do him justice... :(

But I am LOVING your fish and pics. You guys have some amazing bettas!

Betsy, my rag-tag delta female. Not sure if she's deciding to be green or what. I mushed a few photos of her together in different lighting to show the changes. She has very lovely facial markings and in the right light she has what looks to be stripes. ^^ She's one of my favorites.

This is poor Oxnard, my halfmoon. He's a sweet heart and comes off very timid. He was attacked by Betsy mid mating and got away with his life.. but not all of his fins. >__< I'm hoping they grow back. Oxy was a gorgeous male before that-still is, to me-and under natural lighting he's a brilliant dark lavendar/indigo mix. Under the hood light on my tank he just looks blue-as well as under camera flash.

Anybody know which light source I should trust as far as deciding their color?

Natural light is best for dictating true colour :good:

Poor guy he should heal up in no time as long as his water is clean, maybe a half dose of melafix to prevent infection.

Ah okay. Yeah, I've been keeping the community take above par recently due to a large explosion of marble and dalmatian molly fry I got. Dx Oye vei! But he seems to be doing much better than the first week. At first I put him in his own little tank to let him rest up and whatnot. His fins used to have white crusts of old fin hanging off of them, but right now they're all gone and he seems to be swimming around and fairing just fine. As far as colors, would you pressume my female is green based on the one picture I have of her in the top right corner of the one I posted? She's been baffling me.

Thanks for the nice comments and yes Azumo is quite a sight to see (his whole main body is a glossy/shiny purplish blue - bar the head - and his fins are soft blue and lavender). But thenagain wouldn't every betta mom/dad claim thaof their charge ...? ; )
