After much waiting I finally found the boy for my 10g tank. He's been in for a couple of weeks with 3 girls and they're all very happy :rolleyes: He tends to sit on the plants while the girls bob about around him, then they go check on him for a min before bobbing back off again. It's all very peaceful ;)

you would be lucky is they stay peaceful together you cant keep males and females together unless your breeding them and evan them its only for a couple of hours. i would surgest to get red of the females and keep the male and a couple of corrys or get red of the male up the females to 4-5 and get some corys
 
I'm begining to think this might be an american thing? :rolleyes: I've been asking in our shops here but no one thinks there's a problem with keeping them together as long as there's more than 3 females present and lots of space. I've got a few mates with one male and a 'hareem' that have been living peacefully together for a while now. One's been going 18months and the other two have been together for about a year. They have special tanks for the mating when they obviously kick off but once they go back to the regular tank they're all mates again :rolleyes:

What type of betta is this, i dont knwo what mine is, crown tail or what lol?
 
It's a veiltail, and i really would get your male a seperate tank, it's just too risky keeping them together.

PLEASE :-(

Don't risk it one little fishy could end up dead
 
Thanks, I don't think I'll ever get tired of looking at him :)

I've got a spare tank at the mo with just a couple of plecs in, any sign of hostility and he's outta there :D
 
i would put him in there now all it takes is a couple of seconds and you could have a dead male especially since you have 3 females that will gang up on him. so plz put him in there before he gets injered of killed. and add a few more females to the 10g

I completely agree, one minuit it's all happy and calm and the next you have a dead fish, seriousely it's not a good idea to keep them together at all.
 
He is a lovely colour. Have never seen a VT with red and blue within the the finage...

I believe that this is a good buy lol
