lol, thats cool--how did you get the water to stay in the pipe like that? wouldnt it normailly just flow into the tank let us know how it works out, you might start a new fad on FF.NET!!

Conrad, the water stays in the pipe because there is no way for air to get in it. since the water level is equal at both ends of the pipe there is no pressure variation. You can do this between tanks, but make sure the water levels are at the same height, or you'll end up with a siphon!
Actually if you have two level tanks it's not a problem at all connecting the two. It will actually increase the size of your ecosystem (2x10=20). Also, if one tank gets low on water it will suck water from the other tank only to the level where they are even. Great!! The only problem is if you have enough water in the pipe to overflow one of the tanks. Then you have to worry about overflow... in which case you need some sort of spillway. Good times
