Not An Emergency, Sexing Gouramis

Sorry for posting this in an inappropriate place but I couldn't seem to attach a photo in most of the other areas.

Can anyone please tell me what sex these gouramis are? I think the one on the left is male but no idea about the one on the right.

the one on the left is a male and the one on the right looks like a female. But it depends on how old the fish are. When mature, male gold gouramis develop a longer pointed dorsal (top) fin and their anal (bottom) fin is usually a bit longer and more pointed too. The females have shorter rounded dorsal & anal fins.

thanks. They're about 18 months old, I suppose.

how long is the dorsal fin on the right fish compared to the dorsal fin on the left fish? It's just the fish on the right looks like it has a shorter dorsal (top) fin but it looks pointy. This could be a young male.

Do they argue at all or do they get along fine together?
