Hello there all, I am new to these fora but they seem like an excellent plaice (har-har.... fish puns are great...)

I have been keeping fish for around a year now, I upgraded from a small (probably 5 gallon) tank to a 79 litre (21gal) tank.

I was wondering if anyone can help me ID this fish, I've had him from the very beginning so he is just about to celebrate his first birthday :D . When I bought him (well, I say "him" it could be either) I remember it being a catfish of some sort, but despite searching around, I can't work out what type.
If anyone here can help that would be great!

I am not bothered about its sex by the way, I don't want to have to change his name - currently called Achilles (all my fish have weird and extravagant names hehe)

Here are the pictures:

Here is the next picture:

(sorry, it didn't seem to want the two pictures in the same post)

Thats one years old? tbh it should be around 7-8inches by now and ideally require a tank much bigger than a 15G, sorry

Its a Synodontis Eupterus (featherfin catfish) btw at least partly but it could be a hybrid as the top fin doesn't look right?

Awwh, I should probably consider giving him away then... :(

I don't think it has really grown since I got it. Though that does mean I kept it in a tank waaay too small :( I feel bad now....

I'd say hybrid too - dorsal definitely isn't 'right' for a eupterus and the 'nose' is also shaped differently to eupterus.
