This is my first proper go at a planted tank. I ordered my plants mail order and they went in last Friday. I've just got a few questions.

Most of them seem to have settled well. My Barttii swords in particular have got some nice new red leaves. :) Some of the leaves show some browning, should I take them off?

I've been putting CO2 in for a week using the Carbo Plus unit. My kH is around 3-4 degrees, but my pH is staying stubbornly at around 7.2. Is this too early for it to be having much of an effect on pH? I do have a sump, maybe I've still got too much water movement and the CO2 is gassing off?

This is a some of my Echinodorus tenellus. Are these roots waving around, and if so should I snip them off and plant them?

And finally, is this a flower bud on some more of my Echinodurus tenellus? (You have to look closely at this one!!)

And here's one of those new red leaves at the bottom of the plant in the foreground. Behind is an ozelot sword. This isn't a very good photo, I want to get some better pics but the water's been cloudy and is only just clearing now.

Those look like new plants that have been growing off runners. Just plant them in without cutting the connection to the mother plant.
