Problem With Corydoras

Velvet will look like a gold dusting on a fish, yellow spots, or a rusty coloured varnish. Some corys can have golden coloured patches its there markings.

Skin and gill fluke signs are.
Opaque body with excess slime,
Pale gills with excess mucas, or red inflamed gills.
Swimming in a jerky movement.
Sores on the body of the fish.
Flicking and rubbing.
Laboured breathing, or gasping at surface of tank.
Erratic swimming.
Spitting food out.
Weightloss sometimes.

Excess slime on a fish can be bad water quality, parasites, bacterial, ph shock.

Have you added anything to the tank lately that could make the flick and rub.
Added any new fish or live plants.

The red on the fish does it look like red streakding, red edging to fins or red patches, or bleeding beneath the skin.

Lumps that suddenly appear are usually bacterial.
Lumps can be tumour, bacterial, lymthocystis.
Lumps that are hard can be tumours.
Lumps that are soft like filled with puss are bacterial. Need to issolate as if the lump bursts it can infect the tank.

Red spots that turn into a hole are bacterial.

I only managed to find internal Bacteria treatment sadly,
And not external :/

Is this okay to use?

EDIT: The red seems like streaking through the fins/tail I would say, Only present on te afflicted ones
My water is certainly fine as I just tested it, Ph is around 6.0 (I have a planted tank) filtration is superb and only fish I added recently were otocinclus and some Black neon tetras.
From the looks of this tho it seems like it's probably been present for a few weeks.. shamefull I hadn't spotted it sooner.

If you havent added the velvet med I would add the internal bacteria med. You picked the right med.
You can double dose the interpet anti internal bacteria med in severe cases. But It might knock your water stats.

thanks Wilder,
I was holding off adding the meds untill you reply..
And thanks also Minxfishy for you help

Cloudy fins can also be bacterial finrot.
Good Luck.

This is what lymthocystis can look like.

Question is how did they get it....

I assume this can cause glancing?
as I have seen some healthy ones glancing now.. only their heads.. Im trying to work out what could have caused this to happen as my tank stats are fine

Question is how did they get it....

Not quite sure what you mean. Do you mean the lumps or lymthocystis.

I'll in general :/

They seems to have the same problem located in the same location on the infected ones.

Not sure but its abit strange that they all have lumps in the same place.
How are the fish doing now is the bacterial med doing anything.

So far not noticed any change.

i'll go ahead with a second dose and keep a close eye, I also gave primafix dose to see how that adds to it.

Sorry for the update, My eardrum ruptured so been a bit off recently.

I have a look at the fish today. And think there is an improvement. So I'll add more when my next water change is done and hopefully should be all fighting fit again :D

Thanks for the help everyone

Bet the ruptured ear drum hurt. Get well soon.

Good Luck. Glad they seem to be better.
