I Have Eggs!...finally

Good idea....it's always nice to look back cos you forget so quickly what they're like when they are little.

"Finally after many attempts i have a nest full of eggs "

I suppose i was really lucky then with my first attempt haha! Congratz.

it took me 3 tries,
and after the spawning my female betta had very minimal fin damage :good:
also she is not showing any stress lines, she also is very perky

Well my female was perfectly fine lol, i was quite surprised bc id read lots saying i should exspect fin damage, nipping etc....

I think i seen him nip her once or twice, but no damage what so ever, and i was watching them pretty much the whole way trought lol.

The tanks are in the living room, so it was quite handy, i could watch tv at the same time. haha

Iv never really took a liking to female betta's. That was untill i got her, she just seems to have more of a personality if you get me lmao. Sounds mad but she'll chase my finger and is constantly active, where as the males seem more chilled out lol.

thats really lucky of you :p
i introduced mine then just left them to it..
since i had provided coconut caves and plants for the female to hide in..

Update,
now the eggs look like this :)

looks like they are forming into fish

congrats its cool watching them grow from eggs..... I've only got 1 left now but its about ______ that big:)

Good luck with them!

its so funny when they start falling and the dad goes to get it and it starts swimming around.... you can hear the caption...

"come here or you'll go to your room" lol

Good to see you doing well

Now if the dad don't eat them your be on for a home run ;)
Males to tend to eat them at first thinking their food but once he's lurnt a thing or two he'll soon be a good dad and care fro them.

he seems to be tending to the nest well,
but he seems to knock eggs down on the floor of tank all the time

I thought my male was eating them at first, every now and then one would drop from the nest, and start wiggling to get back up, He'd come flying over and scoop them up, then just sort of sit there. Give it about 10 sec's then he'd swim up and spit them out lol. It was so funny to watch haha

 Renton my male abandoned the nest and let the eggs fall,
then they got fungus on them :grr:
so i have to start over again..
