Here is a shot of my pleco. As far as I can tell, it is an L031 - genus Parancistrus. The store called it a "Peppermint Pleco". He/She hides ALL the time.... almost impossible to get a good picture. I recently had to move my aquarium and rearranged things. I moved it's favorite cave to one end, with the back of it against the glass where I can see in. He/She seems happy and I can actually see him/her now!!! He/She is about 3" long right now.

 Very nice! I am a HUGE fan of cool plecos....that one is great!

Why can't they give them real names? Yes this is my RX-500L20, no I don't know what kind of fish it is,the number impressed me Just kidding. Thats cool. I am not usually fond of plecos but now I want one. :D

Nice Peppermint Plec you have there. I wish my plecs would let me take a photo like that, looks great. :)

i wish i could get a plec, just like that!

Thanks for the compliments.... he/she is my favorite fish in my tank.

dwarfs: The number thing is kind of crazy. I would just say "Peppermint Pleco", but I think that name is used for about 5 different L numbers... some of them quite different looking.

jams.alaskan: Supposed to get about 6". One reason I got this particular one... was looking at some others but all got in the 12" range and didn't want one that big.

Hi BobTheDog :)

Very nice pleco. The fact that it will ramain a small size is a big plus, too.
