Hi, my barb is very bloated and sluggish, all other fish in the tank are fine, only this one seems to be affected. 60l tank with 5 barbs, 6 danios, sucking loach and 2 mollies, stats are all fine and stable, same as for weeks and weeks.

Any ideas?

What do you feed your fish.
Are scales sticking out.
What does it look like when he goes to the toilet.

Cook some frozen peas for a few minutes, let cool down and pop out of shell, mush between fingers into small pieces and add to the tank.
Epson salt baths to help draw fluids out.

I feed them mostly flake food, bit of bloodworm sometimes, there are no sticking out scales and i hvent seen the toilet business.

I'll do as you say with the pea, sadly ive got to leave for a wekeend away soon, why do fish time these things like they do?!?!

Fish need a varied diet of some frozen foods like daphnia which helps the fish digest it's food and brime strimp.
Also green veg.
Feed the peas, it might just be a case of constipation due to many dried foods.
Feeding to many bloodworms can make fish bloat up.

cheers :)

Hope they are soon back to normal.
The peas will flush them through.
