It's really hard to see what the picture is of.....

Is kind of looks like just the stand??

EDITED: OMG.....that's WATER!!! Woah, it looked like wood it's so dark :*) My bad.....

Sheesh.....I don't know if I'd run any media, maybe just sponge. Actually, I would suck a almost all of the water out and add more with a garden hose or something  Seriously, that might get rid of a lot of that debris.

Good Luck, man......I think you're gonna need it! :X

I'm guessing that you did not do a whole lot of rinsing of your sand. How long had it set befor you shot that picture? Isd it any more clear now?

ALASKA

Yes, it does look like it's cleared up a bit.....

Maybe patience is the best thing for now :dunno:

Patience can be SOOOO hard.....

It's truly a virtue that I wasn't born with

Especially when it comes to fish!!! :/

Since I took that last pic, it has gone up like three shades from brown to light brown lol  Slowly but surely....

My advice is some partial water changes to help clear things up, just be very gentle when adding back water. I would start doing about 20% each day until you have clear water, because it won't clear up other wise.

in about a week it should be nice... maybe a few filter cartriges later tho lol

tank should be cool ive never seen one like that b4

Definitley, the tank will be beautiful when cycled and stocked!!! I'm jealous!!! :sly:

I would definitely do a big water change at first though, then do the 20% a day for a week or so......then start the cycling process if the water's clear enough!!

when you do the water changes get a small plate or dish or something like that and put it on the bottom of ur tank and pour the water into that that way it wont disturb the sand as much as it would if you poured the water directly on it.
also, i hope that your filter is old and you won't mind losing it! when i put sand it my tank it chewed up the impeller in my filter after a few days...so be weary.

u used playsand i did the same thing and didn't wash it  but i let it settle for 2 days and it was a little cloudy the turned just my powerhead on and cleaned the media every hour and now its crystal clear

Powerhead. Is that the jet I got which creates current? should I turn that on?
(mine sucks up water through bottom and shoots it out front)
