Help with plant ID

I've got two plants that I need help identifying. Thanks in advance for y'all's help!

Here's a pic of the leaf on the first plant. it has long very skinny stems:

Here's a pic of the base of that plant. I left the brown part out of the ground, because I know some plants will rot. I buried the large root system though. Was this the correct thing to do?

And here's the other plant I need help identifying. It's leaves are much more red than they seem in this picture.

The first one is hard to tell, but i think it's dwarf onion if the bottom of it looks like an onion bulb.

The second one looks very familiar to me. I think it's Rotala Indica but i'm not sure

Yeah, it does look like my onion plant.
