New Betta Tank

So today a new tank arrived. Hooray This tank is for me to take to school and school is about 35 minutes away. The tank is 5 Uk gals and has a 25W heater. Filtration is by wool, Bio-balls and charcoal. Now in the pics I havent put enough gravel in (Getting some more today) I'm not going to non fish cycle it because i'm going to use my new Betta. In a 5 gal tank one fish shouldn't make a dent though. So what do you think? It came with fluro tube heater and filtration for £56 which I think is bl**dy decent. Should I split it and have to Male Bettas or 1 male and a harem of females?? 2 Cories? Any suggestions Thanks guys!

Right I've decided on sand and its already in. No probs so far but I'm going to pick up a male and 2-3 females this weekend

i like it! what is the UK gallon difference from US?

i think theyre almost the same... looks about 5 gallons us

the male will probably chase the females and the females might also chase each other so make sure you have a few places for them to hide... i have 1 female thats been ripped around by the females, and the males, so she has to live in a vase by herself..

I'm going to dump in loads of java fern and places where they can hide. The sand will also be coverd in java moss and I'm going to have some floating plant of some sought in there aswell

My tank came from Ebay And was £56 including the 25W heater, which is a very decent price. I would deffinatley reccomend this tank as it is... well frankly lush
