Awwww Tilly you must be so pleased with them and well done you. They are looking great  I love seeing home grown babies and following how they develop. Can't wait for the next update :good:

Difficult to say at this stage but it's possible the orange will probably develop that colouring as it matures. The Platty looks just like our platty girl did at that age....doesn't look like it's going to develop any colour at all. The last one is starting to show a little colour in his fins.

They will change so much over the next couple of weeks and it looks like you're going to get a really nice mix of colours coming through.

So have you got a nice little crease on your nose yet from having it pushing up against the tank all day

Yes that crease is there! my other half was not impressed that valentines evening I was starring at the bed side table making sure everyone got a fair share of brine shrimp! I have so many fry left though! those 3 were a small sample of the 25+ that I have, I think if I counted properly its more like 40 a fair amount look like the plat one in the bigger grow out is black/blue I think? Ive just moved the smaller one's into jars so they get their food not a nip on the nose!

Lol.....they are so tiny and yet so full of attitude!!!! We tend to jar them up as and when we spot any getting too aggressive which leaves the rest able to get their share of food aswell. Also they release a hormone into the water which inhibits the growth of the rest of them especially if you have a large number of fry.

Here are a few pics of the babies with Flash showing colour and one biting off more than it could chew....having said that seconds later the brineshrimp was in his belly!

Gosh what a change in just a week. They are looking like proper mini Bettas now especially with their gorgeous colours coming through.

The last one is amazing. I've never had one quite so see through. Looks like he's going to be cambodian or a new strain of X-ray Betta lol and I love the sheen on the body of the first one.

You must be so proud of your first batch of babies :good:

I am thank you :) The vast majority are red though! I was hoping for a bit more variation but they all seem to be going red! A few are that clear weird eh! they are still pretty small but are starting to eat solid food now! Hope everyone is still enjoying the updates seems to have dwindled with interest and I don't want to clog the board !!!
