Hi guys,

I arrived home today to find my pump making a very very odd noise.

I took the pump out and had a good look inside, using just some cold clean tapwater to wash it through. After a little rinsing a very odd white thing (pictured) dropped out of the bottom! It's about an inch long and quite squishy.

Any ideas what it might be? Or might have been? Do I need to do anything with my tank urgently?

Cheers for any help

Paul

thats what i thought, but unless its some very odd sort of sealant its just too squidgy - and how much squishy sealant plastic is in a pump?

Any eggs got suck into the filter.

i was thinking could it be some eggs but its 1" bit big for eggs?

As far as I know I dont have any breeding fish.

The only other thing of note was a few brown speckles in some jelly like stuff stuck to the outside of the pump. I have recently had whitespot in the tank, I've never seen spores before but I read somewhere they were brown clumps so put it down to that

Just wondered if they all got slushed up and stuck togther.

Sorry, I'm new to all these things, what's a snail cluster?

I wouldnt know snail eggs if i saw them, the thing on the outside of the pump may have been. The big white thing ... doesnt seem egg like to me, saying that I havent a clue what it could be so any guess is better than mine!

The Pattern on the outside makes it seem like it has been molded some how.... I thknk it is synthetic! LOL, it is quite funny though!

Thats settled then, synthetic it is ... I'll let you know if anythign else wierd happens!

Cheers for your help!!!:)
