And here is my hubby's 10 gallon aquarium! (You cant see the other fish all that good, but there is a catfish behind the goldfish)

The catfish and goldfish always sweep the sand to the other side, they always stay in that one corner

Yes, that is (play)sand in the 10 gallon. I've had it in there since the beginning of February...it settled real quickly and it has never clogged my filter. No fish has died since I put sand in the tank *knock on wood*

I would take out that castle and put a layer of sand. I like more natural looking tanks, the other one with the sand-sweeper ;) is really cool

Ditto Jams. Alaskan

I'd find a REALLY tall fake plant, maybe reddish or something and put it in the middle so it goes all the way to the top. Not too bushy though, you wouldn't want to take up too much swimming room. Other than that, maybe you could add a little color with some more gravel.......maybe a darker green or blue.....plus it would cover up your air stone.

I love Hexagon's for small fish. They are lovely to look at!

Bamboo looks really cool in tall hex tanks. you can get it with leaves sprouting out and if you put a quite a few pieces in there resting at different angles the fish love to swim through it.. It will break up your airbubble too.. nice tanks :D

Thanks everyone for the nice comments! :D I was thinking about putting sand back into the 14hex...I like the idea of bamboo, but I dont know where I would find some :/
