Hey Guys here is my latest spawn ( pictures) of pluto and my SD? gold girl Hope you enjoy, I have my fingers crossed that this will be my first success (usually the boys have eaten the babies!) here we go....

Great pics Tilly.....I love to see them spawning and how gently the males wrap the females. Fingers crossed all goes well Keep us updated.

Thanks guys! it would appear it has! I have never seen so many fry! I might have to go buy a bigger grow out !!!!

Here is Get away from my fry!!!!! and the one good shot I got! it was hard to get a good close up with an angry dad!!!

awwwww!!!!! and if he dose eat them or they dont make it do get too upset first time dads arent always the best, but he seems to want to take care of the good!!!

Yay for the babies . The pics are great and looks like he's a very protective daddy, which is a good sign

Yeah he's very suspicious! if he is collecting them and I look at him he wont spit them out until I look away! he's been great so far Im shocked by how many I have - Sams 15 are doing well and darting around the tank like proper little fish!!! I definately need a bigger grow out though but will only get one after a week or two when I know how many are making it! I'm hoping for some yellow/gold HM's and some Mustard Gas, athough as you said Netty you never know what you'll get!

Lol....that's the great thing about breeding, you're constantly surprised by what you get!!!!!

Like you said, it's best to wait to see how many make it through the next few weeks. Best to leave them until they are at least a month old.

In the meantime keep taking those pics so we can see how they are growing

Will do!! I looked at a few pictures that made the female look suspiciously like a veil tail and underneath the breeder went on about how no one wants veil tails! little worrying!!! but she does have a lot of rays... I wish I knew for sure! because VT is a dominant gene

A VT wouldn't have that many branchings....only two. Any spawn could produce throw back VTs. In fact we have a couple from our FT spawn plus quite a few PKs lol And there are plenty of people out there that do like the VTs.
