Swordtail Pregnant????? HELP

First off, I know this belongs in the livebearer forum, but I don't know how to post pics there and I really need some help....

My female platy has been getting really fat, I thought she was pregnant, but after a week of no fry, I assumed she was just a piggie. Now I think I see the so called "gravid spot" but I just don't know

Help me pls.

Is that dark patch a gravid spot? The male doesn't have anything that looks like that.

definately pregnant sang....i m very sure that is a gravid spot. however when it will give birth, i m not sure.

Thanx for the response Chewy. She's been that way for about 2 weeks if I remember correctly. Lately tho she's been eating (and pooping) constantly. She's even been nibbling on the plant leaves (or the algae on them) which she's never done before. The male keeps following her around and nipping at her rear end. I think I saw somewhere that the gestation period is 3-4weeks.

Like chewy said that is a gravid spot. I give her from 1 to 2 weeks left. Males Dont have a gravid spots only females. When shes about to give birth it gets very DARK. Good luck with the fry.
