can anyone id plant in top righthand corner of pic.
it's spreading across the ground and staying very low.
if it's any help plant at bottom of pic is glosso.

Looks like some variety of Rotala though I'm fairly new to live plants. I'm sure someone will be along shortly to correct me if I'm wrong.

I agree with Aaron. It does look like Hemianthus micranthemoides.

don't know if this is of any help battery in camera went flat will have to recharge. will take pic when lights off may get better image.

if i keep trimming it will it make a suitable ground cover. or is it better going with somthing else.

It will take some work to keep it trimmed low but if you carry on it will produce a nice carpet.
