OK just before she went into tank I managed to get this

She is now in tank and started eating straight away  she is gorgeous

One thing you need to make sure of is that it is actually getting food. I have a Pink scooter blenny which is also a dragonet (with the same picky eating habits). I made sure it was eating frozen food before buying it but in a tank with 5 other fish its difficult making sure it gets its share.

I have been taking a portion of the frozen mysis I feed all the fish everyday and using a turkey baster to put some right next to him. It took him awhile to get used to it (and not run away) but he gets a lot more food that way.

I would also see what you could do about adding a fuge to the tank as even if they do eat frozen food its still probably not enough as in the wild they apprently graze on pods pretty much all day long so it is definitely a benefit to supplement its food sources as much as possible.

you can buy a regular supply of pods online. They will post weekly, fortnightly or monthly a bottle of live pods. If you didnt want a fudge that is

omg, That's one of my favorite fish  Congrats on it eating frozen :good: Just remember that it still needs some pods for long term health. .....gosh darn it...I'm jealous :X

Update on my Pod culture

Well, got a little tank, filled it with salt mix water, added an air pump and a culture of Pods and Rots, actually bought two of each and added the other to the tank. Put the tank on the window sill and waited and waited....................

four weeks later, I am thinking, this is not going to work, in walks my brother in law who says................you have got tiny white spots swimming around in that tank on your window sill............. Seffie and Trod run in to see, Trod is as blind as a bat so she can't see them, but I can, yes, there are little pods swimming around :hey:

So, I now have my own pod culture alive and thriving...............but no Madarin, so what does Trod do, well of course you know - she goes out, finds a tank bred mandarin who also eats frozen :S buys it, puts it in her tank and gloats loudly

Ok, she is going to order me one.......................but is that the point I ask myself :p

Anyway, then KJ says in a post: :quote:Just remember that it still needs some pods for long term health :quote: how I love you Kj :D

Love Trod really  but when she says this is war, you had better believe it and get yourself a flack jacket

Be nice big sis I order your fish tomorrow :p

Thanks all for your comments, I have been doing the turkey baster thing but as you say she does run away so I shall keep trying and hopefully she will get used to it :good:

Ben, have you got a link for the online pods please B-)

Might be planning a stealth mission in the dead of night to harvest some of seffies pods but don't tell her anyone :ninja:
