Yup, we call that algae. Now that your tank is mostly cycled from a ammonia/nitrite perspective, the resulting end-products of nitrate and phosphate are being used by plants. You can either add cleanup crew to help re-cycle the nutrients or export them through various means (skimming, refugia, harvesting, etc).

 Algee, i was not expecting it to be such a simple thing  its really bright and looks fantastic under all lighting, Ski if you have been following my journal, am i ready to add a couple of clown fish yet?, i have not got an answer to this question yet, i will add them in the next couple of days unless someone can advise otherwise, i think i might be ready, what do you think?

Thanks
VM

how long has the tank been cycling because honestly in my opinion if its been up for a couple weeks id say you are def ready for some clowns.

Hi

the tank has been going for nearly two weeks and everything seems fine :good: i think i am now ready to add them, check out my journal for more info.

Thanks
VM

Were it my tank, I'd add the cleanup crew asap and then clowns a week later

Ah, good. Well then I don't see how a pair of clowns would hurt really. Remember go slow and get an idea for feeding and bioload considerations. Of concern to me is the nuisance algae you're already seeing growing...
