Is anyone able to tell me if this is a female molly, and if this is a PREGNANT female molly?
i have about 10 of these little guys, and this one seems a lot fatter then the others...

also, it hangs around the top near the surface a lot, but i dont think there is a lackof oxygen in the water.

another thing i should probably ask/note, i have another molly, which i sthought had the "shimmies", but this seems to be much more violent then just shimmying, it does rapid flips and spins on the spot. but i was just thinkin, do molly's Dance when courting to find a mate?

these 2 molly's are the ONLY 2 fish in the same tank at the moment...

anyone shed any light?

Hi
have you tested tank stats lately?
molly dont dance, if its scratching it may be ill, you need to see what the ammonia levals are ect.

Is this "dancing" when you walk up to the tank ?? mine do this as thay want attention or food. when you open the lid to thay all swim up to see you ?? if so its just the way livebearers are

livebearers are very social fish and like to be in large groups, 3 females to one male should keep them happy

i had fish that scooted around the side of the tank up & down and flick off rocks before, it is a sign of poor water quality and possible fluke.
