Well after my two balloon mollies have given birth to about 50 babies almost a month ago..
my guppy started to have fry today
so we put her into a breeding box and after about an hour we checked on her and found that she gave birth to three pairs of siamese twin frys...and one siamese triplets..
and there are a few normal ones and a few undeveloped ones
my question is..would the siamese twin / triplet frys survive?

i have heard stories of siamese fry surviving but never off a reputable source, just stories in passing so am unsure.
do you have a picture of the triplet?? have seen twins but never seen a triple one!!

congrats on becoming 'foster mum/gran' to baby fishies!

Thanks :)
I was trying to get some pictures of them, but its really hard for the camera to focus on them cause they are so small @@
And then they started swimming to the top and got eaten by the mom :-(
The siamese twins and triplets were all stuck together by the stomach though

Once I have a good batch of fry in my net, I move mum very carefully into another one to carry on with the birth.
My mums have never got stressed doing this, and it ensures nearly 100 fry :)

Fish48 has reared a twin before to adult hood, they do occur quite often but few survive.

I'm sure he'll post a pic later :)

be watchful...

specially to those kind of fishes, twin and triplets...

try to put pictures even if the pictures are blurd...

we can understand it...

don't worry...
