I got this filter with a second hand tank which I bought, without the little booklet. Anyone know what it is (Eheim, but what capacity etc) and what is the 3rd little pipe for..... The one is labelled "In" the other "out", but the little one in the middle??

It also has a built-in heater element which is covered in a thick calcium layer.... How do I remove this, and then what I assume to be the thermostat connects up seperately..... I assume I put this in the tank, and I cannot (logically thinking) imagine that this heater will keep my tanks' temp at the right level..... What size tank can I use this filter on??

The filter on the side.... What cartridge do I put into it and what does it do??

Looks like a EHEIM professionel II thermofilter.
You can get models manuals from the Eheim website <a href="http://www.eheim.de/eheim/inhalte/index.js...mp;list=afilter" target="_blank">http://www.eheim.de/eheim/inhalte/index.js...mp;list=afilter</a>

Sorry can't be more help

Thanks for the link Bigpig, I tried it, but will not let me open any file......I think it could be very useful to all our "Eheim" questions if it'll just work.

You need a pdf reader to open the files

http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html Should be a free verion there
