Came back from work tonight and was greeted by last few embraces of a successful spawn. Both fish are siblings from an initial pairing of halfmoons so this will be first brood as part of line breeding program for blue halfmoons.

Finished up with about 150 eggs which is okay - had bigger spawns before but this is a viable number of eggs and to be honest much easier to manage as less culling involved.

Hey I'm new to this but I'm looking for a breeder that I could get halfmoons from but I think there are just goegeous. I can't seem to find anyone here in michigan and I would really like o get my hands on two male and female this november when i get my larger because I want to try my hands with breeding. I will be researching it until then but I was wondering if you know any breeders in michigan and if not do you sell yours? and if so do you think you would have any left in november?
 
There are plenty of breeders in the US - might be worth looking at Aquabid as quite a few on there. I'm based in UK and I do sell quite a few fish but I will only ship fish within the UK.

Do a search on the internet for Great Lakes Betta Society which is based in and around Michigan. There is a contact email address - they may be able to put you in touch with someone.

not to toot my own horn, but i do have some very nice hm babies 13 weeks on saterday. out of my hm female Teal, and my male ft Forest. i live in pennsylvania so its not far to ship. most babies are a light green to dark blue range. pics soon to follow. pm's only if interested, no multi topic sales talk.
