It's a Mazda RX-7 in case anyone was wondering and it's classed as a 1.3l but has over 240bhp untouchable by anything under 20k

nice car but ALOT of things under 20k could destroy it :good: fair enough if you mean standard cars though

I agree with that. I've never driven one but I believe they handle very well. I've had a few s14 200sx's they've always been pretty quick and a super quick Supra Twin Turbo that was fettled and a Nissan GTR33 which was very qiuck. the supra was stupid quick though and I'd be surprised if the RX7 was as quick although it woulld prob be more exciting to drive which is why I never loved the supra

Yeah i meant standard as in BMW's and Civic type R's etc not old cars that have been souped up but something to consider is that the rx-7 can be taken to 700bhp not bad for a 1.3l engine and if your looking for a car that will keep you on your toes look no further it's twitchier than a four year old on xmas eve.

i used to have a jaguar xj, 4lt v8 chipped engine - now that was a fast car, there is a by pass near me and you always get racers, i never got caught in that, although i know there is plenty out there that could take it, but then you need a driver who is prepared to go over 170.

however ive now been converted over to 4x4 now - i have a kia sorento, dispite the kia name, the sorento is actually a very capable 4x4, more over than a lot out there, the difference being the sorento is a truck base 4x4, whilst many other like the bmw, hondas etc are hybreds.

you only need to look on youtube to see how mad they are, that said, the king of 4x4 are still the landrover, d3 are unstoppable.

lol I had a XJ8 4 litre for 10 weeks a couple of yrs ago. I love jags and awant another now despite me wanting to sell that car as soon as I bought it. I remember first corner I went round I nearly drove off the road it was like a barge and a complete contrast to the car I'd sold the night before, my wife loved it and if I can ever afford to have a sports car and a big car for myself I'd get another probably XJR

crappy build quality and reliability though!!! but smoothest drive ever and they are still cool in my opinion

it was my dream car ever since I was 9ish - strange i know lol, however it was the right car, but from the wrong person, it needed things doing to it straight off, within the first 18 months i had spent over £6000 on repairs. the funny thing is, it was never anything serious, just these little black boxes in the engine or some other thing.

i personally know crap about cars, i blew my first 4 cars up - something about oil? lol - and unfortunately in the end, did the same to the jag - gutted! i noted one morning on route to work that the engine started to sound like a diesel - not good! lol, i took it into a garage and left it with them, at work they called and said, it sounds strange because there is no oil. yup, i had that sickly feeling again, i had killed car number 5!

they put around £400 into running treatments into the engine, and engine maintenance, but in the end i knew it had to go, i decided i wanted a 4x4 but didnt have funds to go for what is the king of 4x4s, the land rover d3. i looked around on youtube and saw the kia sorento being put through various 4x4 routes, i was so impressed i got one. crappy sounding name imo - however it will out 4x4 most things on the road.

lovely Rex mate, i drove a friends 450bhp big single turbo RX7 and that was utterly bonkers :D

stock for stock my old Supra twin turbo was quite a bit faster than a UK Rex (probably because it had nearly 100bhp more) but nowhere near as engaging to drive...

I looked at supras as well when i got the RX but i wanted a manual T top twin turbo and there just weren't any to find for less than 7k so i took the other option and i'm glad i did as it's a beast and imo looks a lot sleaker

meh bugger all this talk of fast cars! i have a 1.0 12v Corsa!! oh yes, 46bhp of pure power!

The plan was to buy it and put the well known C20XE engine in (aka 2.0 redtop) but i've decided to keep it as it is for now as its stupidly cheap to run. (plus when it comes to a service i only have to buy 3 sparkplugs  )

Nice.

I like cars too. Currently running a stage 4 Saab GM900 putting out about 300BHP. A bike hunter that is. Will be driving it at Castle Combe at the weekend for the Eurofest.

Excuse the lack of a wash!

must admit though, even though the sorento is a great car/4x4, my ultimate car now is the land rover d3 - that thing is unstoppable.

I sold my Supra twin turbo last september to a guy in Denmark. I had it just over a year, it had a special button to make both turbos come in at same time and it had been mapped to 400 bhp. Mega fast car but like yourself not engaging enough for me and I never loved it although it looked fantastic and a higher quality than a REX in my opinion
