Sand In Tanks

Here you go, this is my sand and substrate tank, its tesco play sand, a tip i got from this forum, it works really well, and in my experience is easier to maintain then gravel. oh by the way its only a few quid, i got a buy one get one free offer, 40kg for about £4, perfect.

EDIT: 40kg is a way more then you might need, i still have a bag that is still sealed.
 
looks great tetraking :good: just wish i could have live plants in there.

the sand has really cleared up well so will get some pictures tomorrow after work :good:
 
check th eplant thoroughly for snails & eggs. You can dip them i a copper sulphate solution to kill them. Just rinse the plant well as the copper can harm shrimps.
 
right heres what i'll do i'll secretly smuggle the plants into the tank and she'll never notice :lol: she's only just noticed the betta i have had for a week :rolleyes:
