My Betta

This is my betta. he is a male that is a maroon red with a plae front and he has blue around his fins ( where fin meets body) the pic is not too good my camera is bad :blush: i just love him to death :wub: . so what do you think? also, can bettas recognize theor owner?

Hes lovely, Ive got one very similar to him. Im 100% sure they recognise their owners. :good:

thanks, he is gorgeous. no the reason i asked if they can is because i went away for three days and when he realized i was gone and someone else was feeding him, he turned brown and wouldn't eat. he didn't swim and when i came home, his color came back and he started going crazy when i came up to his tank. :lol: do bettas need a heater because i live in tropical climate and he is lively and colorful?

Ah bless! They are real little characters arnt they!
Id pop a thermometer in his tank to check what the temperature is to make sure and if it is too cold then get him a 25w heater. If hes in a hot room them you probably wont need one but best to make sure. :good:

Bettas generally do better in warmer water so 78/79f would be better :good:
