I was thinking that pictures of female fish tend to get unnoticed because the males are usually more attractive... Well, maybe we should show that females can be beautiful too?

The first one is only 12 weeks old, one of my babies, so I wont breed her yet. I'll let her to grow up for few weeks and then she can meet her fiance for the first time =)

And thanks for the nominations, that second one is really interesting female. I bought her three weeks ago and just now I noticed that she might carry HM-genes. I'm not sure about that, but her finnage isn't the normal veiltail-females finnage.

I am almost 100% sure that she is a female. She had her egg depositor visible when there was a male in the same tank.

It would be cool if she turned out to be a he. Because we don't have plakats here in Finland. This is a picture of her right after I purchased her:

??? Aw man... she's cool. It looks just like a boy! Are you sure? lol

She looks just like the male on my book.

Oh.. now I see the stripes.... cool!

Well. The only way to find out for sure is to put her in a breeding tank with a male and see what happens =)

She does act really feminine when there is a male in the same tank. She lowers her head and well, does the female stuff. No aggression towards the male :)

I am going to the same store this weekend. I need to buy more of those. The finnage is cool.

She must be a female plakat because regular females don't have fins like that! It's hard enough to find females, much less plakat females. Get more if you can! Get 20!
