thats really nice, the fish are beautiful, if i can make 1 suggestion,, a background would be nice, people have told me that it brings out the colourings of the fish.
i love the wood, and my old fav the clown loach :)

Thanks Shelagh. Its not the best pic i could have put on. I know what you mean about the background though. The centre bogwood is about 18inches long. I love clown loach full of character. Will try post some better pics soon.

thats the sort of thing i want to get around to doing to my oscars tank stand, its not very nice at the moment, but i thought with some tounge and groove and clear varnish i could make it look nice, i have gotten as far as buying a jig-saw so far, but yours from what i can see looks great :)

When i made the tank stand i bought all the wood from local timber merchant. Cost about £60. Spent ages in my shed getting it just right. About 2 weeks. Before i put tank on it, i jumped on it, rocked it from side to side making sure it was strong enough. Was so scared after spending so much on tank. The thought of it collapsing was terrifying.

Thanks Paul. I'm toying with the idea of planting the tank up. Think i might go down the route of fake plants though. I've had real plants before and although they looked good, they are hard work to manage. I reckon i might get a background. Sometimes they don't look as good as they're supposed to though. God it sounds like i'm a right moaning fart.

thats a better pic, yes i think a background and some real looking fake plants will make a massive diffrence, but it looks great already, the water looks crystal clear too :)

Looks great!!! I'd love to have a tank of that size...yes, I am jealous

imo, blue or black backgrounds look the best. That's why a lot of people paint the back :)

how about listing the contents for us? or I did I miss it earlier in the thread

Hey man that tank looks sweet! I really like it, a background, as others have said, could do some good, but either way it looks really nice, that wood looks great!

Sounds like there are too many fish in there but I've not had any problems at all. Most still juvenile but max size of most fish is 4 - 6 inches.

Thanks. Might get a background this weekend. I have got two different lights in there. Well spotted. On the right hand side is a plant growth light. Left is just the standard bulbs that came with the tank.
