What type of tail is this?

He's not a veiltail because it doesn't come to a point.... It's rounded. What type of tail is this?

Its a veiltail. Except it doesnt go pointed I have one of those.
 
I rarely see veiltails that "go pointed". I don't think any of mine do. So yours is just the average veiltail in my book. :) Though he's beautiful!!

I'm doing some research, and it turns out that several sources have said that veiltails taper to a point... hmm maybe my fish are just weird. :p Anyways, I'll keep lookin - now I'm curious what makes the squarish type! :thumbs:
 
Ya my tri-color's tail just stops.. It doesn't round out or taper... then I have the one that's round and one that's pointed.

See how his tail just sort of stops?
Well, it's mostly gone now because of the tetras but it has always been like that, just a bit longer...
