Just noticed this afternoon that one of my fan shrimp (dont know the proper name for it) is full of eggs. I'll try and post a better picture as and when I can. :hyper:

Nice to know that your shrimp is healthy and happy, but sorry to bear bad news but you wont be seeing young any soon. Fan shrimp have a full larval stage with the usual need for a brackish water phase, so unless you can provide the zoes with a brackish water stage they wont grow on to be shrimplets.

Oh, and looks like a bamboo shrimp you have.

:( I have had all my hopes dashed in one swoop.

Haha oh well. Thanks for clariyfying that. I hadn't intended for them to breed

Atleast I know my tanks doing well. :good:

Still pretty fascinating to see them bearing thousands of eggs whether the hatchlings are going to be viable or not. My Amano shrimps are forever carrying eggs and still find it interesting to watch them fanning their eggs even though I know that none of the zoes (larvae) will survive.

Keep the pictures coming :D
