Well, first of all I am soooooo excited to FINALLY post some pictures of my fishes. I've only had ONE picture to post before and now I have LOTS!!!

I will start with my Silver Dollars and Gourami's:

That's actually an opalline gourami, not a blue gourami. But they are all the same fish basically, just different colors.

Actually they are not "opaline" gourami's they are 3 spot gourami's!!! Confusing I know.... :rofl:

We just don't call them 3 spot because they are a color morph, same with the opaline! So the ones that turn out more blue are called "blue gourami's"

They are all the 3 spot though!! :lol:

Silver, there is a difference. That is an opaline gourami. 3-Spot is just another common name for the blue gourami. They call it a 3 spot gourami because it has two spots and the third spot is the eye. Here is a pic of an Opaline Gourami (top) and a Blue/3 Spot Gourami (bottom)

Hi, I hate to argue a point to death, but you are wrong my friend!! They are ALL 3 Spot Gourami's. They make color morphs of these, like the top one in your photo, and call them different things like Opaline, Marble Blue........all of those are the 3 Spot Gourami. I researched it thouroughly.

I agree that they are all the same type of gourami but that color morph is called opaline. Same with gold gourami.... it's the same fish just a golden color. Just like neon blue dwarf gourami and flame dwarf gourami are the same species but a different color so they are called a different name. But I get what your saying.
