i just moved my betta to a new tank and he has found that where the HOB filter hangs down allows for him to see his reflection quite nicely. he's been attacking it for a bit now and im worried he might wear himself out. he's already been through a tank change and a water change today, i think thats plenty stress enough for him. but i could be wrong. should i try to do something to alleviate this problem so he doesnt ended up getting hurt or is it all right for him to fight it out with his reflection for i dont know how long? im just concerned that he might not stop and keep going at it for hours. i would put those emergency post requirements like water conditions and what not but obviously those things dont pertain to my problem.

Betta don't like strong currentsl.
How many gallons is the tank.

Put some plants in front of his reflection, and he will be fine but should stop fighting himself anyway, mine did and i left him to it, he's fine now as he is settleing in with 3 females(lucky boy!).

its a 10 gallon. and he has stopped for now atleast. i was a little worried about him there for a second, he's my favorite betta and possibly my favorite fish too. he's been through a lot and id hate to lose him now. i should think he naturally ought to have atleast another year on him before old age hits. thank you for responding by the way, i was afraid no one would answer me there for a second. your right, i might need to do something about the current. im planning to start planting this tank here in the next week or two. i could put some plants in there to dampen the flow. ill try and upload a picture of it, let me know what you think i should do :D
