I changed the substrate in my 100G from gravel to sand, and added more Zebras to my 20G. Enjoy!

I was gonna say either you have REALLY long arms or thats a small 100gall tank :)

i was about to comment on that. the tank width is really really small for a 100g, that'd make the tank realllly long.

Okay, I am 100% sure that this tank is at least 100 Gallons. You are welcome to come over and measure it yourself.

And for Straydum, this size is actually pretty standard for a 100G. I bought it this way instead of, say, two feet wide, since I have tinfoils, and they are fast movers. Don't you think tinfoils would do better in this tank than in a higher/ wider tank? If I had, like discus, I could see buying it short. But I bought it 5 feet long.

Now can you all comment on my fish instead of how small my tank looks? I mean, come on guys!

 alright alright. but dont forget than a smaller width would make turning harder for fishes like your Banded Leporinus or Silver Sharks once they get bigger.

you may want to keep an eye on your Banded Leporinus. i've seen really mean and nasty ones out there. have you got pictures on your Fire Eel? i dont think you will be able to keep it in a 100g forever. they need around 180g really. and sand substrate would be the best for them due to their delicate skin and the habit of burrowing. sorry for the hash comments.

i think youve done a grand job, well done it looks great, the shark is a beauty... you seem to have a case of MTS( multiple tank syndrome) going on there lol, bet the next one will be huge :)

well done on the tank :good:

shelagh xxxx

Don't worry guys, I'm looking for a job so I can get a real Monster tank. I'm trying to find a good place in my house to put an 8X2X2 so that the house doesn't collapse (it's 2400 lbs.). Yes, I know that Fire Eels get to be almost 3 feet and tinfoils need a lot of swimming space. CLs grow slow but get over a foot, and balas get over a foot. I know this, so I'm saving for a 240, hopefully this summer. The leporinus is doing fine, and only has occassional little battles with the convict (which only last about 5 seconds). Thanks for all the compliments!
