Here's the leopard dojo loach babysitting the guppy fry. They really have grown fond to their new big grampa

Heres the big poppa again, this time trying to escape the school of children. I think he's already getting sick of his new job :fun:

Hey do you use Co2 or anything because i will be getting plants and was wondering if you have to use like Co2 or those flourite tabs?

Are you talking about for the plants? I dont use anything for them. Since they're just bamboo they thrive in just water. Besides a little patch of moss, the rest of the plants are fake.

wonderin what u feed for your loach i was thinkni bout gettin one but i wasnt real sure what to feed it

I've been feeding them brine shrimp pellets, they LOVE them, but they're supposedly fond of fish flakes...pretty much whatever is on the bottom of your aquarium I'd think.

Did I mention I bought these guys for $2 each? pretty good deal, I'd say, they're awesome fun fish.

Hi Black_Chameleon :)

I love those loaches! I have two, myself, and they are a right up there on my list of favorite fish!

Mine eat granulated fish food, shrimp pellets, freeze dried tubifex worms, and live blackworms. They pretty much eat anything that makes down to the bottom; they're not fussy at all.

great pics!!!

do you trust the loaches with the fry if their so big?

I just love the weather loach!! I am getting another tomorrow. Tje one I have is my favourite fish of all my tanks!!

BTW, mine is in my coldwater tank at 70F

Just thought I'd add a pic of my favourite boy (hope you don't mind)...

Yeah, they're pretty mellow, the guppy fry will eat right off of their bodies and head, and they don't do much, as soon as the loach moves though... they back off and give him ample room

Cheese Specialist, that's a cool loach, no I don't mind you posting him here, he pretty much looks like mine anyhow :D

Inchworm, justa thought at what temperature are your loaches held in?
Hi snowyangel :)

I've had mine for several years. At first they lived with my goldfish and frogs at around 70 degrees. Now they are in with my corys and the temperature is kept at 76-78 degrees. They seem to eat and behave the same in warmer water as they did in the cooler.

Mine was in the tropical tank for a while and he was fine. Made friends with the cories. I am getting some cories for that tank tomorrow so he will be pleased!!
