Hi there

I wanted to ask about colouring in molly's.....I have some fry that are now just over 2 month old, did try and get a pic but it is not that clear, I have one that looks more like a dark silver/grey colour....I thought when it was born it would turn black but it hasn't...I have not seen a dark silver/grey molly.....and I also have a fish that looks half orange and half dalmation its head is orange, and the other part of its body is dalmation..I am beginning to think my fry are freaks.......!

Might they still change colour?

Gosh I am gonna end up with freaky fry that no-one wants....anyone know of a circus that accepts freaks?

I have a pic but it is not very clear, it shows both fish...if anyone would like to see it...let me know.

Ok...this is one pic of the dark silver one...it does look slightly darker than the pic.

Ok and this is the grey one again, and you can see it is darker than the last photo...also is the fish with the orange head and dalmation body...lol.

The colours change over time, i have mollies which change colour-some have flecks of yellow in-even though the parents are black and grey and white.

Ok...thanks for that...I have a white molly which was born at the same time as these 2...and it has perfect colouring...I just hope the orange headed fish changes colour...lol....the other one I can cope with, she is a lovely colour and looks very unusual...i hope she stays the same colour.

Thanks for the reply Paul.

As long as you dont sell your fry on my patch or i'll have to freak you out!

Nah,giving up on breeding mollies-i have too many and dont sell enough of them. Best to stick with rarer breeds. But thanx all the same :good:
