I noticed my Mrs common BN has white ''marks'' around her mouth / nose, I'm guessing HLLE but it's not anywhere else.

Can canyone please advise on what it is and best treatment possible for her.

She was fine yesterday and the day before that she laid her biggest ever clutch of eggs.

HELP!!!!!!!

Thanks in advance!

Meds in hand are : Met blue, No.9 , No. 8 and no.6 ( but know it's not WS)

** EDIT: Dad is fine and showing no signs of anything, nor are the guppies in there. Mum is still eating, she's scoffing cucumber as I type **

Anyone, I really would like to treat her asap.

Columnaris can affect the head region aswell.
For columnaris in the uk anti internal bacteria med and pimafix.
How long has the fish been like this.
It can peel the skin away like it has done on the head.

Columnaris has many disguises it dosn't alway have to look fluffy.

Are you treating the fish.
Tip x marks can be bacterial.

You need to treat the plec with a bacterial med liike anti internal bacteria med by interpet.

The plec is in a bad way and the longer you leave it the chances of saving the fish are slim.
It already looks to late to me.
I would add the anti internal bacteria med by interpet.
It would be better if you could issolate the fish.
Increase aeration in the tank when you add the med,
Methylene blue can wipe all the benefical bacteria out in your filter, so no I wouldn't use it.

Really? She has inmproved no end, Maybe the pics just don't show it. She only has a tiny bit of damage left, the right side has cleared up completely.

I will add some no. 9 tho and see how we go.

Hayley :)

Thats good news then.
Good luck.
