i have a penguin bio wheel 350, in a 55 tank.
my fish are;
1) 14 neon tetras
2)1 pleco
plants:
1. amazon red rubin sword.
2. tiger lotus
3. rotala wallchichii
4. didiplis diandra
5. ludwigia repens
6. narrow leaf temple
7. dwarf baby tears
8. sagitteria subulta
9. anubias coffelia
10.potamogeton gayi
11.,and the hardest to keep, rotala magenta


now some pics!!!
 
what about co2, ferts lighting, substrate etc? It is always good to know as to what to aim for when setting up a planted tank

ok, i have a 4.0 wpg,

diy co2 at about 2 bubbles per second( hard to tell, because its diy!!)
i dont use ferts but i do have a layer of peat moss.

ok people im hard pressed to figure out how to put pics on.

oh, ive got some pics.


well, i do have 2 diy co2 2 liter bottles set up. would this be enough?
also, what would i have to do to keep my plants surviving, then, if i cant get pressurized co2?:crazy:
 
Now that you figured out how to add pic... can you get a full tank shot? I would love to see it. :good:

ok i got a tank picture. im still horrible at taking pics because all my pics start at 400+k, and i have to seriously crop them!!!!!!!!
 
Is that the actual colors?
Do you edit your pics for color and contrast?
You can crop it the way you want it then resize it. Going smaller really shouldn't hurt the quality that much. Atleast it doesn't on mine. Going larger is what really messes them up.
Also taking pics at night with only the tank lights on helps. You may want to turn off the flash. Does your camera have a macro setting? That will give you better quality if it does.
Just a few things that I was told that helped me a lot. I am still working on getting better, but those things do help tremendously. :good:
 
thanks a bunch ice girl! :) also, i can only have one pic because i have a only 100k limit, and the smallest i can reduce them to is 89k,so i cant do more than 1 pic.
 
What program do you use? That don't sound right.
You should be able to lower the size in inches and raise the resolution so that it works out better. That is what I do on some... others I just crop and shrink. It really depends on the pic.
To add more pics just post again with the next pic...

Let me know what camera and program you are using... also the process you go through to resize them. I will see if I can find you a better way to get them the way you need them. :good:
 
download a free ware prog called irfanview u can crop
or
make photos smaller without cropping whilst still reducing the pixels/size

I don't know anything about that program. I am still learning also. I can tell where to find some people that can probably tell you how to work it to get what you need done...
There is a picture section right here. It is down close to the bottom of the list... There should be some people there that can help you a lot more than me.
Post there and ask how to get your pics the size you need them without quality loss.
I will be checking in to see how it goes. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
