I don't know much about aquascaping (still learning myself). However, the two largest rocks point away from each other and so the eye is drawn directly into the middle, which I don't think is "valued" in aquascaping. What to do with the rocks now though, I don't know. Others should be able to comment though. Your best bets are to ask George, Dave and Graeme :)

I actually really like it ( I do have an eye for design) But sometimes something you think looks good, may not be to someone elses taste. Each to their own!

At the end of the day, you are the one who is going to be looking at it every day, so as long as you are happy with it, then that is all that matters :good:

I personally would be very proud of that, and I am the worlds worst perfectionist!

i know what you mean, but to be honest with the shape of these stones, slate they begged me to put them like that. it breaks rules i know but it seemed to work...i think. i've looked at some of amano's setups and also he dont allways play by the rules, for sure. i got the 2006 catalogue and there one or two rule benders in there.

thanks helen :good:

thanks luktendo,

here's another. the small stones are not in there final positions. its more the bigger stones are now following RULES! as you can see these things are huge even in my big tank.
so moving them is hard work!

any way let me know. i know this should be in the other forum, but it gets more attention here.

mark.

Looks better, the big rocks maybe could do with going a smidgen to the left, as it's best to get the focus point 2/3s along the tank rather than 3/4. Also the left side looks a bit bare now.

But I'm not really an expert you should really get an expert.

I'll send you a pm.
