Hi again everyone,
I recently bought an XL T4854 Light for my 55 gallon 4 ft aquarium. I am a little confused on how to hook the legs in place. I called the LFS that sold me this light and they seem to have no clue. He told me to play around with it and if I am still having a hard time to bring it back in and they would try to hook the legs on for me.. GrrRR
The light comes with a moisture proof plate that protects the lightbulbs. (it has 4 long tube lights) My directions are telling me to place the legs in the lamp hood groove but I am meeting resistance when I try to do this. Does this sound normal? Am I supposed to remove the moisture proof plate (if I remove the plate I would not be able to use it once the legs are in place) or am I to "force" the legs into that groove? I am concerned I might break something.
I have contacted the company (via email as I cannot fine a phone number anywhere) but I was hoping someone here might be familiar with this light so I might be able to get my light on my tank sooner. I am really itchin to use it....
Also, since the light has a moisture proof plate, do I need a glass cover over my tank at all or will this plate protect the light entirely?
Thank you so much for your time. I really appreciate it!
here is a pic of the light:
