Oh BTW this fish is about 3 cms. I don't know If you will be able to tell yet, but it's been flaring to all the other females.

It has been for a few hours, only noticed that it was a male as I've just turned the lights on. Luckily I have a 12litre tank for him.

If I put a tank divider in the tank could I keep the male in the same tank but seperate from the females?

yup. as long as the divider is high enough that he wont jump over to get at the girls.
