hi one of m emporer tetras has a funny growth under the chin which looks like a white worm kind of thing with a film roundit but it doesnt move
any ideas???
 
Is it a parasite or not.
Any signs of flicking and rubbing against objects.
Any sores on the body of the fish.
What do the fish gills look like.
Strands of cotton coming from the mouth can be mouth fungus false name, true name fliexibactor columnaris.

no flicking or rubbing
no sores
gills normal
no fungus.
 
Ok.
The worm does it look like a strand of cotton or definately a worm, does it have a forked tail.
Added anything to the tank lately, like fish and plants.
 
nothing added
it has been like this for a week
it is like a white worm looking thing in like a clear sack attached under the chin.
 
Is it possible to load a pic up.
It sounds like a parasite.
Does the worm have a forked tail.

This is anchor worm.

ive been trying to get a pic but cant get it sorry

its not forked tailed its in kind of a sack with a coupleof white worm looking things in it not moving attached to it underneath its chin wher its gills join.

whats the best thing to do???
