mg come from crossing a blue or green gene with a red loss gene,but then your looking at several generations before the gas comes out as you will need 2 bettas with the red loss gene in about 70% of the their DNA structures and which must be in the same place on the DNA, with this red loss gene any red can come out as tan, yellow or orange and adding this to the blue or green you are looking at mg, im not to sure whether it would be possible to produce from this male but he does has red,blue and the celophane would be classed as a colour loss gene, whether the celophane is a product of red orignally it something we wouldnt know and it could be that the celophane would come out as celophane anyway, i would try to find a female with a red loss gene and cross into him to see what you would get. red loss bettas are noticed easier when they get older, if you see the red lightening as they get older then this is a red loss.

i think the original mustard gas bettas were supposed to have variegated fins as well
