You get a betta from the store and take it home and its colors really show through...

Ive brought all my girls when they were in the stores a pale as they could be.. and once i got them home and situated them in the tank their colors have really shown through...

I love to know they r happy in their new home!! it makes me feel so good inside!!

Even my boys have become brighter than ever and much more vibrant!!

Iono about my goldfish though... theyve always been gold lol... im sure it doesnt take much to make them happy lol

I once bought a female betta that was a really nice pale pastel green. When I got her home, she turned BRIGHT turquoise! What a surprise. She was pretty either way though.

I love it when I get a betta in the mail and it looks awful, but just a couple minutes after I release it in its tank, it has completely colored up and is swimming all over the place.

When I got my Sherbert... he was in those cups of blue water they use at Petsmart. I thought he was yellow when I got him, but turns out he's his nice pretty orange self :D heh

I know that's not exactly what you were talking about though hehe.

I've never actually gotten a betta that looks bad color-wise though. My female Bertha has changed colors since I got her. When I first got her, her coloring looked green alot of the times and at certain angles would look blue, but now she's mainly blue except when I take pics of her, then she looks green

i got a little girl from the store on thursday..... and she was so pale and light blue... literally a couple minutes after she got situated in her new home she turn this really pretty turquoise with a bit of red in her fins!... i wish i could get a good picture of all my girls.... unfortunately some of them are so shy and fast that i could never get a good pictures of them... the boys are the one ones i can get good pictures of lol

I got one betta that was a very light peachy cream color ...after I got him home put him in clean water within a couple of hours he was a chocolate brown/black color. He was probably the most stressed fish I have ever seen. I think we all can say our bettas are much prettier in their homes than in the store.

my old fish originally was a horrible funny
