What Is He, Would Any Of You...?

He looks good, but I can't tell if he's A HM or just an SD, and it looks like he's a CT also. Can you get a larger pic of him? But for a female a HM or CT (if he is a CT that is) would work. You can get whatever color or pattern you like, but I'd get a solid light blue or turquoise female for him.

here's another pic, I'm afraid it's not much better There's a fish on these forums called Tango, and when my fish is in the right position his shape is close to that of "tango"

The pics are a little better, but not much. When He flares is his tail in the shape of a "D" with the edge of the fins pointing straight up and down to make a perfect 180 degree line? If he is, then he's a Half Moon (HM), if it's less he's a Super Delta (SD), If it's more he's and Over Half Moon (OHM). He still looks like a Crown Tail (CT) to me, I don't think he has any fin rot, but I can't be certain as the pic is too blurry. So, check out some pics of CTs on Aquabid.com and see if his tail looks like any of theirs when he flares. If you find one that looks EXACTLY like his fins, post the link and we can take a look to give you a better idea of what kind of female to put him with.

thank you!, in certain light he's really turquoise, a couple of weeks ago he had a pinhole and some shredding, what looks like CT I think is kind of curly regrowth. I feel like he might be some kind of a mut, I'll check Aquabid now

If those are pics of him in full flare then, he's not a Half Moon as the caudal fin (tail fin) is large, but does not come to a full 180 degrees and produce a perfect "D" shape. And it's kind of hard to tell from the pic, but I think he's a 6 ray Crown Tail. He's a real beauty.

so you're saying 6 ray super delta crown tail! ok, is this a good fish? my 6 year old picked out at the LFS, and named him after her 1st grade boyfriend. lol. He's the only Betta I've ever had so far, sweet personality like a puppy, but I'm curious about breeding fish now
